Cylindrical electricity storage device and electricity storage device apparatus

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electricity storage device that, when an electrical connection is made using plate-shaped contact members, can reduce contact resistance with a plate-shaped contact member at an electrode terminal, and to provide an electricity storage device apparatus where contact resistance between constituent members can be easily reduced. The cylindrical electricity storage device of the present invention is accommodated inside an outer container in which an electrode unit and electrolytes are sealed by a lid; a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal are provided in a mutually insulated state on the lid; the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal have, respectively, a positive electrode plate section and a negative electrode plate section that are plate-shaped and have an edge section extending along the outer peripheral edge of the lid, and this positive electrode plate section and negative electrode plate section are disposed on the lid. An electricity storage device apparatus is characterised by having a configuration wherein a plurality of such cylindrical electricity storage devices are electrically connected via a plurality of plate-shaped contact members.
