CT Evaluation of the Spinal Canal after Thoracolumbar Burst Fractures

1990
CT-scans of 12 cases with a burst fracture of the thoracolumbar spine were reviewed. All the cases were neurologically intact and treated conservatively. In 7 of 12 cases, resorption of the bone fragment and remodelling of the spinal canal have occurred with sufficient improvement in canal size. None of the cases have developed late neurologic deficits.
