Numerical Calculation and Simulation of the Typical Process Flow Channel Inside HMB

Both the length and the diameter size have an important influence on the flow characteristics of HMB (hydraulic manifold block), the numerical calculation and simulation of HMB containing process flow channel internal flow filed are made by ANSYS/Fluent module in this paper, and proposing the design method for reducing the pressure loss of HMB and optimizing the typical flow channel structure of HMB. Through the results of simulation expressed by the figure of pressure contours and speed streamline contours, and comparing the different lengths and diameters of process hole on the impact of the flow channel' pressure, focusing to analyze the cause of pressure loss. Finally, the best optimum length and diameter of the process hole, when the flow pressure is minimal, is obtained, then the improvement measures of the process flow channel' structure is put forward to reduce the pressure loss and energy consumption, and providing theoretical basis for optimal design of HMB.
