The invention relates to a device for detecting the lateral deformation of cement-based material. The device comprises a measuring head, blocking rods, a bottom plate, a measuring head bracket, a precession-type compression bar and a compression bar bracket, wherein the blocking rod, the measuring head bracket and the compression bar bracket are all vertically fixed on the bottom plate; the center line of the measuring head bracket and the compression bar bracket and the middle line of the connecting line of the two blocking rods are both arranged on the same horizontal straight line; a measuring head connecting rod passes through the measuring head bracket and can slide along the measuring head bracket; the precession-type compression bar passes through the compression bar bracket and can slide along the compression bar bracket; the measuring head connecting rod and the precession-type compression bar are positioned on the same horizontal straight line; the rear end surface of the measuring head just faces to the front end surface of the precession-type compression bar; the measuring head connecting rod is provided with scales; the upper surface of the measuring head bracket is provided with scales which are matched with the scales of the measuring head connecting rod and can form a metering tool with the measuring head connecting rod; the precession-type compression bar is rotated to forwards push the measuring head to load; and the scales or dial indicators on the measuring head and the measuring head bracket are used for reading numbers. The device for detecting the lateral deformation of cement-based material has the characteristics of simple structure, low cost and strong practicality.
