The invention relates to a multi-row and axially prestressed angular contact ball bearing (1; 24; 36) having a one-piece outer ring (5; 38) and one of two inner ring halves (7, 8; 25, 26) existing inner ring (6; 37), each inner ring half (7, 8; 25, 26) at least one of a shoulder (9; 10) has limited raceway, which with one of a shoulder (11; 12) limited raceway of the outer ring (5; 38) corresponds and in which in the raceways bearing balls (13; 14; 39) are arranged, which are supported by the shoulders (9, 10, 11, 12) axially, wherein at least one inner ring half (7, 8; 25, 26) is axially displaceable for setting a play-free biasing force and wherein between axially inner end edges (17, 18; 27, 28) of the inner ring halves (7, 8; 25, 26) is formed at least in the unstressed state, a distance. To enable easy and precise adjustment of the desired biasing force and to provide a transport secure bearing cartridge, it is provided that the axial distance of at least two face-side contact surfaces (17, 18; 21, 22; 27, 28; 42; 43; 44; 45) of the angular contact ball bearing (1; 24; 36) in the prestressed state equal to zero and that the axial distance of at least two face-side contact surfaces (17, 18; 21, 22; 27, 28; 42; 43; 44; 45) of the angular contact ball bearing is in de-energized condition is greater than zero (36 1; 24).
