Enucleación de un quiste periapical y utilización de plasma rico en plaquetas . Reporte de un caso

Inflammatory periapical cyst is common in oral cavity Odontogenic injury, can occur as small lesions that involve the periapical area or large lesions that undertake anatomical structures and lead to significant bone loss. Currently there are innovations in terms of materials used to accelerate bone regeneration after the presence of Periapical cysts in oral cavity. The plasma rich platelet (PRP) is an excellent choice to reach of all oral surgeons, for its ease of obtaining the same patient and healing capacity of tissues. This article reports the case of a 29 year old patient who attended the Faculty of Dentistry of the University de Los Andes with an inflammatory lesion of large size in the maxillary anterior region, established a presumptive diagnosis of inflammatory periapical cyst which was treated with enucleation and placement of PRP in the surgical bed. Radiographic control post-op was held for seven days, at first, third and sixth month in which it was observed an excellent healing of bone tissue; It was concluded that PRP is a valid treatment option for Periapical cysts.
