Briefing: Retaining blind access in town streets and shared spaces

2016
This briefing paper is intended to provide information and guidance to planners, highway engineers and other practitioners on the design criteria that determine whether or not a streetscape area will be accessible to blind people. In this document ‘blind’ refers to people who have very little or no sight, who should not be confused with people who are visually impaired, who will have some degree of useful vision.
