Research and Application of Genetic Algorithm in Bidding Strategy for Power Market

At first,the concept,characteristics of power market and its bidding method is introduced.Secondly,a brief introduction to genetic algorithms is given,and bidding models and bidding curve is also expounded in detail.Finally,a bidding method based genetic algorithm is proposed by taking minimum power purchase cost as a target function.According to the linear bidding curve,the typical computational example shows that the presented algorithm is a new effective optimal method.
