The problem of hull propeller induced vibrations, although well known in ship building, has assumed only in the last decade the characteristic of an essential design parameter. The theoretical and experimental work carried out during the past years led to the set up of a design procedure to analyze and optimize the propeller-hull hydrodynamic behavior together with the dynamic structure response.
