Strongly enhanced spin fluctuations in paramagnetic Y0.90Lu0.10Mn2

Abstract The cubic Laves phase compound YMn 2 is known for strongly enhanced spin fluctuations above T N , the ordering temperature of the Mn sublattice. On substitution of Y by Lu T N is shifted towards lower temperatures providing a way to study the spin fluctuation behaviour down to lowest temperatures.
