COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE SUBLEVEL CAVING METHODS FROM THE VIEWPOINT OF ROCK MECHANICS

The paper states the results obtained in mathematical modeling of the stress-strain state of a rock mass where mining is carried out by the sublevel caving method with the schemes of areal frontal and frontal ore drawing. Assessment of the stability of mine workings as applied to mining under developed tectonic stress fields has been performed. The authors give recommendations on support of mine workings at the drawing-off level.
