Vehicle integration of the R744 refrigerant circuit

Parallel use of conventional R134a air conditioning systems and the new, environment-friendly R744 technology requires close to identical packaging requirements for the two systems, otherwise costly modifications will be required in the engine compartment and vehicle cabin. By the use of new components, and by varying the structural dimensions and integrating components into modules and sub-assemblies, Behr is now able to offer flexible and functionally reliable R744 refrigerant circuits fitting any space designed for an R134a air conditioning system, and meeting the thermodynamic and acoustic requirements for installation in such spaces.
