Erzincan Yöresinde Yetiştirilen Kizilciklarin (Cornus mas L.) Fenolojik ve Pomolojik Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesi * Phenological and Pomological Characteristics of Cornelian Cher- ries (Cornus mas L.) Grown in Erzincan

This study aimed to determine phenological and pomological characteristic of Cornelian Cherries grown in Erzincan during 2008-2009. Taking into consideration the selection criteria, 63 genotypes were investi- gated in the first year. In the second year, 15 genotypes within these genotypes were identified as promising. All genotypes had a range of 1.44 g and 4.24 g for fruit weight, 1.1 g cm -3 and 3.8 g cm -3 for fruit volume, 0.6 g cm -3 and 1.5 g cm -3 for fruit intensity, %2.4 and 6.6 for pH valves and 8.1 mg 100 g -1 and 34 mg 100 g -1 for ascorbic acid content. In general, cornelian cherry genotypes investigated had dark-red ground colored, pink colored flesh, good taste and medium sourness fruits.
