RNA Oligonucleotide Fingerprinting: A Proposed Method of Identifying Strains

SUMMARY Oligonucleotides from TI RNase digests of Newcastle disease virus (NDV), LaSota strain RNA, were resolved by two-dimensional electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gels and autoradiographed. Fingerprinting is proposed as a method of identifying strains of NDV not distinguishable by current in vitro tests.
