Survival of patients after heart valve replacement for infectious endocarditis is estimated to be 5-10 years. The data on long-term results, of longer survival is usually not monitored. There is a clinical case of timely and successful surgery treatment of infective endocarditis. That allowed the patient to save high exercise tolerance and high quality of life for 22 years.
