Data compilation: Iodine-129 in Hanford groundwater

This report summarizes all data and information about /sup 129/I in the Hanford Site groundwater that could be gathered from various and diverse sources. The data compilation covers a time period from approximately 1959, when analytical methods were initiated, through the most recent drilling and sampling activities completed in 1986. More than 700 sampling events are represented in the data bases for the confined and unconfined aquifer system beneath the Hanford Site. These data, some of which were previously unpublished, are summarized in the appendixes. Primary attention is given to integration of the diverse sources of information and to development of qualification criteria for use of the data. 28 refs., 33 figs., 5 tabs.
