Difficult Diagnostic Decisions: An Interactive Videodisc that Teaches how to Discriminate Organic and Functional Causes of Somatic Complaints.

Abstract This demonstration shows an interactive videodisc program that teaches medical decision making in determining whether patient complaints are organic or functional, describes causes of unexplained somatic complaints, and provides practice via case studies based on actual clinical footage. Running on an IBM Info-window platform, and designed for medical students and residents in psychiatry and internal medicine, this program will also interest family practitioners, and nurses.
