Surface ligand-mediated isolated growth of Pt on Pd nanocubes for enhanced hydrogen evolution activity

Isolated growth of Pt on Pd can be achieved facilely by tuning the coordination interaction between Br− and Pd atoms. The island growth mode Pd@Pt core–shell structure exhibits enhanced catalytic performance compared to that of layered growth mode in the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction.
