Depilatory tape and depilation method

Provided is a depilatory tape which can be adhered in intimate contact to a region of the skin to be depilated, and with which depilation is possible simply by peeling, without causing pain or injury to the skin. This depilatory tape 1 is characterized by comprising a water vapor-impermeable or relatively impermeable support 2, and a mixture 3 of a depilatory agent and an adhesive base, retained on the support 2, the depilatory agent being composed of thioglycolic acid or a salt thereof, and the adhesive base being composed of a water-soluble polymer and a polyhydric alcohol, the polyhydric alcohol content being 150-500 mass parts to 100 mass parts of the water-soluble polymer.
