MAGLEV DEVELOPMENTS AROUND THE WORLD

Magnetic levitation systems (maglev) are often heralded as the next generation of track-bound, ground transportation systems. Although under development since the late 1960's, only recently are such systems progressing to the stage where they can be seriously considered for revenue applications. This article will provide a brief overview of the available systems, their characteristics, and development status.
