The main task of this study is to diagnose and evaluate the current status and problems of the domestic living lab currently being promoted and to draw up policy issues to be solved in the future. Living Lab is still in the policy experiment stage in Korea. Considering this, this study explores the possibilities of expanding the living lab as a means and a way to derive the success model through sharing experience and achievement of living lab and to innovate R&D project, regional innovation and social innovation project. This study is divided into two parts. Chapters 2 and 3 present "living lab typology and methodology". Chapters 4 through 7 deal with "domestic living labs". In Chapter 2, this study examine the current status of domestic living lab and present typology. Chapter 3 explores the theory and major cases of living lab methodology and draws implications. In Chapter 4, investigating and analyzing the cases of domestic and overseas university living labs, and drawing out applicability and policy issues. Chapter 5 analyzes the case of living lab in the social problem-solving research and development project which is being promoted in the way of innovating existing national R & D projects and draws policy implications. In Chapter 6, we will look at the present state of the living labs that are being promoted for the purpose of solving social innovation and community problems in the intermediary of each local government such as Seoul Innovation Park and Pohang Techno Park. Chapter 7 examines the current situation of living lab in the local and public institutions such as Seoul Bukchon Hanok Village, Seongnam Senior Experience Complex, and National Fire Service Academy. In Chapter 8, this study tries to analyze the present situation and problems of the living lab under the existing system such as national R&D project, regional innovation project, social innovation project, and to draw out the problem. Based on this, we would like to suggest a way to refine the concept and methodology of living lab that is suitable for the Korean situation and to improve and develop in the mid to long term.
