Traces of Hamiltonian powers in N-electron model spaces

Abstract This paper reports on a direct determination of traces of spin-free p -order replacement operators ( p -ROs) calculated over a finite-dimensional and antisymmetric N -electron space constructed with K orbital functions. The procedure leads to compact and useful formulae which are suitable for computer evaluations. This achievement provides a suitable determination of the electronic partition function in that model space.
