The present invention addresses the problem of providing a bioreactor that can efficiently and economically perform biological reactions that use microorganisms or cells, wherein the bioreactor, and, in particular, a filtration film, etc. thereof, can be thoroughly and economically cleaned and sterilized. The present invention also provides a biological reaction method that uses the bioreactor. In order to solve the abovementioned problem, the bioreactor according to the present invention and the biological reaction method that uses the bioreactor are characterized in that micro/nano-bubbles that contain oxygen are incorporated into a culture solution (7) and in that micro/nano-bubbles that contain a microbicidal gas such as ozone are incorporated into a cleaning liquid.
