The extensible sheet material with a visible indicator strain

As described herein, an extensible sheet material includes a first and a second zone separated from the first zone. The first zone exposes a first color or a first pattern when the extensible sheet material is stretched over a first percentage addition. The second zone exposes a second color or a second pattern, when the extensible sheet material is stretched over a second percentage, which is greater than the first percentage. Absorbent articles that contain the extensible sheet material are capable of displaying a carrier, when the extensible sheet material is too little, too strongly stretched or exactly to the correct extent.
