Integrated Numerical Analysis System for RSS21 Software: (3) GUI of FFB

The Revolutionary Simulation Software (RSS21) project started in 2005 as a part of “the next-generation IT program” sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) [1]. In this project, many kinds of advanced simulation software that cover a wide range of academic and industrial applications are being developed to contribute to the rapid progress of science and technology in the 21st century. In addition to the simulation software, a support system for structural and fluid simulations is also available, so that it may correspond to demands of the pre-post processing tools and reduce the burden of the RSS21 software users [2]. The support system is based on a carefully designed graphical user interface that makes it easy for inexperienced engineers to use. This paper describes an outline of the support system, especially the functions of the GUI for the fluid simulation code, FrontFlow/blue (FFB) [3].
