On an Isotopic Method to Investigate Mass Transfer at an Air-Water Interface: The Dependence of Bulk Evaporation Coefficients on Water Surface Conditions

1978
We propose in this paper, first, to show what specific contribution to an improved understanding of transfer between air and water can be inferred from the analysis of the distribution of the isotopes of hydrogen and oxygen in the water vapor above a liquid surface and then, summarize the main results so far obtained from laboratory experiments run in the I.M.S.T. air-sea interaction simulation facility at Marseille.
