Incidencia de Eimeria spp en gazapos sanos al destete en una granja cunículas del estado Trujillo, Venezuela.

2010
To evaluate the incidence of Eimeria spp in healthy rabbits smaller than 45 days in Trujillo farms we proceeded to evaluate the number of positive rabbits with Eimeria spp. By means of Mac Master technique and coprocultive in badge of Petri technique, we put in evidence and classify taxonomically the species present. Eighty rabbits of both sexes were evaluated coproparasitologically, being evidenced a prevalence of 71,25%; but when discriminating against it for sexes 68,42% it is observed between the males and 73,80% for the females. Five species were identifi ed by means of morphological and morphometric analysis, being Eimeria stidae the most abundant with 38,23% continued by E. perforans 24,02%, E. irresidua 19,61%, E. media 14,71% and E. magna 3,43%. The multiple infections were common, being the association E. perforans, E. stidae, E. Irresidua the most frequent. None relationship was detected between the parasitic loads and the presence of indicative signs of presence of clinical eimeriosis, reason why we concluded that the establishment of early contacts between blunders and Eimeria spp, joined to the presence of maternal antibodies and the systematic use of coccidiostatics could have some repercussion in the few appearance of sintomatology adduced to the Eimeriosis in pre weaning rabbits
