The paper deals with the cost : benefit analysis of the cultivation of lemongrass variety 'CKP 25' and the existing system of marketing in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. The cost : benefit ratio in the establishment period comes to 1:1.25, which increases in subsequent years; the average being 1:1.82. The marketing of oil is done on the basis of citral content.
