EDITORIAL Since the introduction of the HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, or statins, we have been inundated with data on this therapeutic class. Over the years there has been a clear progression of trials, the results of which have changed the focus from treatment of hyperlipidaemia to treatment of the high risk patient.
