This study aimed to test the temporal stability of the Marital Social Skills Inventory (IHSC), a self-r eport inventory with validity and some other reliability indicators esta blished by previous studies. 54 female and males, m ost of them (81.5%) of husband-wife couples, completed the inventory in two moments (test and re-test). The results indic ated significant and above 0,62 correlations for the general score and f or the six factorial scores of this instrument and no significant differences between the test and re-test scores, th us bringing additional evidence for this instrument reliability and accuracy. The usefulness of this scale for the psyc hological research and practice with couples as wel l as other further studies are discussed.
