Effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine Tiannianyin on Telomerase Activity of Aging Rat Ovaries

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of traditional Chinese medicine Tiannianyin on anti-oxidative ability and telomerase activity of aging rat ovaries.MethodsThe sub-acutely aging model rats were made by injecting D-gal into abdominal cavity continually;and the model rats were given Tiannianyin intragastrically.The SOD activity,MDA content and telomerase activity of ovaries were detected respectively.ResultsTiannianyin could significantly increase the SOD and telomerase activity of aging rat ovaries,and obviously decrease the MDA content.There was significant difference between Tiannianyin group and aging model group: P0.05 or P0.01).ConclusionsTiannianyin can improve the anti-oxidative ability and telomerase activity of aging rat ovaries delay aging of ovary cells.
