Interference of a long dielectric string with a short metallic wire in RCS measurements
2008
When a metal wire supported by a dielectric string is held at broadside to the incident wave, the back-scattered contributions from them are opposite in phase. We present measured RCS patterns and compare these with simulated responses from simple theory. The excellent agreement led us to conclude that both the measurements and the theory are sound.
