Design and Implementation of a Multi-Channel Data Acquisition System

2004
In this paper, design and implementation of a multi-channel data acquisition system (MCDAS) are presented, in which the control of the system is implemented by the combination of CPLD and DSP, the bulk buffer of the system is implemented by the combination of CPLD, DSP, and SDRAM, and the data transfer is implemented by the combination of DSP, FIFO, USB and USB-HUB. The system could not only work independently in single-channel mode, it could also implement high-speed real-time MCDAS by the combination of multiple single-channels. The largest sampling rate and data storage capacity of each channel could reach up to 100Msps and 256Mbyte respectively. The system has such advantages as being flexible to extend, large storage capacity, high precision and real-time process, easy to transfer and etc, which could be used as general DAS of radar and seeker experiment.
