Effect of diisopropylfluorophosphate, edrophonium and a stabilizing agent on the conformation of acetylcholinesterase.

The far-ultraviolet circular dichroism spectrum of acetylcholinesterase (E.C. 3.1.1.7) contained three extrema at 220, 208 and near 192 nm. The position of the ellipticity bands resembled those reported for α-helical poly-L-glutamic acid.
