Detection of the Serum Cardiac Troponin I(cTnI) in Swine Models with Acute Myocardial Infarction:a Correlative Study with Delayed-enhancment MR Imaging

2011
Objective To investigate the relationships of the serum cardiac troponin I(cTnI)peak value with quantitative grade by delayed-enhancment MR imaging(DE MRI)in swine model with acute myocardial infarction.Materials and Methods In Ten swine models with acute myocardial infarction were collected in the study,cTnI were acquired before operation and at 1h,2h,5h,24h,72h,and 1w after operation. The swine models also underwent DE MRI after operation. The heart samples were TTC stained and were performed immunohistochemistry examination. Results Ten cases of myocardial infarction were proved by immunohistochemistry examination and TTC staining.Serum cTnI elevated at 1h after operation, and peaked at 24 h after operation.Peak value of cTnI was correlated strongly with the quantitative grade of myocardial infarction assessed by TTC(correlation coefficien t=0.85,P=0.002) and by DE MRI(correlation coefficien t=0.84,P=0.002).Conclusion The serum cardiac troponin I combined with DE MRI is applicable to evaluate myocardial infarction caused by coronary heart disease.
