Two-speed asynchronous condenser motors with a fan load

1996
Electrical engineering devices requiring a two speed drive are widespread in the range of 10-100MW but not well developed in low power machines. Manufacturers of thermal furnaces have requested the development of asynchronous motors (AM), with a useful power of 90/30 W and 60/20 W with 2p = 2/4. The current demand for motors is around 1000 per year, and is expected to increase considerably. The laboratory of low-power electrical machines (LLPEM) at the NIPTIEM Join Stock Company is undertaking work on the development and comprehensive theoretical and experimental investigation of two-speed AM with the given power ratio and pole configuration for use with a single-phase grid in fan units.
