Fabrication of one-dimensional W18O49 nanomaterial for the near infrared shielding

2016
Abstract One-dimensional W 18 O 49 nanomaterials have been successfully synthesized via a high-temperature solvothermal process in which a mixture of oleic acid and tri- n -octylamine was employed as solvent and WCl 6 used as tungsten source. By simply regulating the experimental parameters, W 18 O 49 nanorod, nanofiber and nanobundle could be obtained. The optical results revealed that there was an obvious morphology-dependent phenomenon on the near-infrared shielding effect and light reflectance. Thin W 18 O 49 nanofiber showed the best near-infrared shielding effect and negligible reflectance, corresponding to the highest near-infrared absorption ability.
