Implantable lead for stimulating complex nerves and manufacturing method therefor

2016
The present invention relates to an implantable lead for stimulating complex nerves and a manufacturing method therefor, the implantable lead being capable of simultaneously performing drug injection and electrical stimulation by using one lead since the lead is fused with a combined body of a micro thin film electrode (or a bundle of microelectrode thin films), which is manufactured through a microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturing process, and a flexible tube into which a drug injection microchannel is inserted, and the lead comprises: the tube having the drug injection microchannel; a line electrode fixed to and fused and packaged with the outside of the tube so as to apply electrical stimuli to a selected part of a living body; and a plurality of electrode terminals provided in a state in which the electrode terminals are spaced at predetermined intervals at an end portion of the tube. Therefore, biosignal measurement and the electrical stimulation for various biological tissues and nervous tissues can be performed simultaneously with drug injection.
