ALUMINUM TOXICITY AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH ORGANIC ACIDS AND PHOSPHORUS

2005
The effects of aluminum toxicity on plants in morphology and physiology were summarized, and the mechanism of aluminum toxicity to plants, the strategies of plants resisting aluminum toxicity and the different responses to aluminum stress by aluminum-tolerant and aluminum-sensitive plants were reviewed in this paper. It also stated that organic acids and phosphorus played an important role in the process of plant resistance to aluminum toxicity. Some measures and approaches to improve soil with aluminum stress, as well as dwarfism of plants by aluminum toxicity were put forward. Tab 3 Ref 65
