Study of Bioavailability of Fluoride in Tea Orchard Soils

2011
[Objective]The aim was to evaluate the bioavailability of fluoride in tea orchard soils.[Method]A pot experiment with 21 soil samples taken from typical tea plantations of China was carried out,and discussed the main forms of tea leaves absorbing fluoride.[Result]The fluoride content in tea leaves was significantly different from those in stems, main roots and absorption roots. The leaves fluoride content and fluoride accumulation amount significantly increased with the increase of soil water soluble fluoride and diluted CaCl2 solutions extracting fluoride content.Soil total fluoride content had no significant influence on fluoride content of all organs of tea seedling.[Conclusion]Soil water soluble fluoride and diluted CaCl2 solutions extracting fluoride are good indices to characterize the bioavailabilityof soil fluoride.
