Voice recognition control device

PURPOSE: To improve recognizing ratio by monitoring the operating state of an equipment to be controlled at the time of controlling the operation of the equipment by voice recognition. CONSTITUTION: When a registered voice pattern stored in a standard pattern memory is matched with an input voice pattern from a microphone, the collate range of registered voice waveform is limited by the following operation of a control unit. Namely, it is detected which operating state (operating state or stopping state) various equipments are laid in (step 100), any one of collate ranges (a)-(n) is selected as the recognition target range of the standard pattern memory according to the detection result (step 110). Since the absolute number of comparison targets of the input voice pattern in matching can be minimized, thus, not only the time required for matching can be reduced, but also a recognition target language easy to be erroneously recognized can be preliminarily avoided from the comparison target, and the recognizing ratio can be improved.
