The NASA program in Space Energy Conversion research and technology

The NASA OAST Office of Space Energy Conversion supports, guides, and directs activities to provide a space power technology base that enables and/or enhances current and future activities in space exploration and utilization. Major areas within the Space Energy Conversion Program are: Photovoltaic Energy Conversion, Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage, Thermal-to-Electric Energy Conversion, Power Systems Management and Distribution, and Advanced Energetics Concepts. This paper describes highlights and goals of the NASA Space Energy Conversion Program.
