A STUDY OF THE CORROSION OF Fe-Cr ALLOYS IN MOLTEN (Li-K)_2CO_3 AT 650℃

2000
The corrosion behavious of pure iron, Fe-5Cr, Fe-10Cr, Fe-20Cr and Fe-25Cr (massfraction, %) in molten (0.62Li-0.38K)2CO3 at 650 ℃ in air have be studied. The experimental results show that puxe iron, Fe-5Cr and Fe-10Cr suffered from fast corrosion, and the addition of 5 and 10Cr can not improve the corrosion resistance of Fe. However, the addition of 2o and 25Cr can greatly improve the corrosion resistance of pure iron. The corrosion mechanism of the alloys was also discussed.
