79GHz Ultra-Wide-Band Radar for Automotive Application

In this paper, 79GHz UWB (Ultra-Wide-Band) radar for automotive application to achieve 360° all around surveillance system is presented. This radar can provide high resolution and wide angle detection: accomplished by (i) Wideband FM-CW modulation and Sector Antenna, (ii) sophisticated detection area, key enablers of 79GHz UWB radar: radar system and antenna development challenges, measurements: high resolution and discrimination performance tested by prototyped radar is presented.
