Process of production and quality of semicontinuous consumable electrodes for VAR

The results of implementation of the process of semicontinuous casting of steel consumable electrodes for vacuum arc remelting are described. The effect of exothermic and heat-insulating mixtures on the electrode quality is shown. Data on the electrode quality and its effect on vacuum arc remelting are presented.
