Quadrupole moments of the 12+ states in 206Pb and 200Pb

Abstract The static quadrupole interaction of th 12 + isomers in 206,200 Pb has been measured in solid Hg. The quadrupole moments of the 12 + states indicate an increase in deformation with increasing number of neutron holes.
