Observation on composition of the crude F1 antigen and F1 antibodies of Yersinia pestis and their immune cross reactions

Objective To analyze composition of the crude F1 antigen and F1 antibodies of Yersinia pestis (Y. pestis) and to observe their immune cross reactions. Methods SDS-PAGE was used to analyze the composition of the antigen and antibodies.Western-blotting was used to observe the immune cross reactions. Results The crude F1 antigen and F1 antibodies, made in regular methods, mingled with a series of proteins. The full membrane protein of Y. pseudotuberculosis, Y. enterocolitica, E.coli and S.typhimurium had immune cross reactions with F1 antibodies. Conclusions The crude F1 antigen and F1 antibodies of Y. pestis are impurified and affect the specificity of Y. pestis immunological diagnosis.
