KEY COMPARISONS OF THE STANDARDS OF THE VOLT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

2013
Questions related to performance of key comparisons of the national standards of the volt of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus along with the results of these comparisons with the use of comparison standards on stabilizer diodes (Zener references) at voltages of 1.018 and 10 V are considered. Key comparisons of the updated voltage standard of the Belarus State Institute of Metrology (BelGIM) and the state primary standard of the voltage unit of the Mendeleev All-Russia Research Institute of Metrology (VNIIM), were conducted within the framework of cooperation between national laboratories that are members of COOMET in the period from July 18, 2011 to August 5, 2011 as part of the topic, COOMET 530/BU/11 (1). Through these comparisons, it was possible to relate the unit of voltage reproduced by the standard of the volt of the BelGIM and that of the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) through completed key comparisons with the voltage standard of the VNIIM (2, 3). The results of key comparisons in COOMET.EM.BIPM-K10.b, expressed in the form of a difference in the reproduced voltages between the BelGIM and the BIPM, are represented in the international data bank of the BIPM together with the total uncertainty of the measurements between the BelGIM and the VNIIM and between the VNIIM and the BIPM (4). In 2004, the second generation of equipment of the standard of the volt of the BelGIM was put into service. The new standard of the volt of the BelGIM was constructed with the use of the microprocessor-controlled supraVOLTcontrol device, serial number 004 (5) with an embedded 10 V Josephson integrated microcircuit. The standard may be used to realize calibra- tion of secondary standards of voltage and of voltmeters. The output voltage of the standard is determined by the equation
