Method for preparing battery separator material by grafting crylic acid through radiation

2011
The invention discloses a method for preparing a battery separator material by grafting crylic acid through radiation. A polypropylene (PP) non-woven fabric is used as a raw material and is grafted with the crylic acid; and the method comprises the following steps of: A, washing the PP non-woven fabric with acetone; B, cleaning with distilled water and airing; C, pre-radiating the aired non-woven fabric; D, preparing aqueous solution of crylic acid; E, soaking the pre-radiated non-woven fabric in the aqueous solution of crylic acid, adding ferrous sulfate and concentrated sulfuric acid, and performing grafting reaction; and F, cleaning the surface of the grafted non-woven fabric with acetone, airing and packaging. Through the method, the performance of the material is improved, and the battery separator material has the resistance of 17.46 ohms and the voltage of 1.357V, high high-temperature property and peroxidation resistance, and is suitable for large-current high-power batteries.
