El conflicto laboral en el fútbol femenino: una cuestión de género y negociación colectiva

The conflict caused as a result of the negotiation of the new collective agreement deserves an analysis of the legal and factual conditions that make it impossible to consider women‘s football as a professional activity. Fundamentally, they are the social perception of football as a uniquely male issue and, the consequent disregard of this activity as a profession due to a gender-related issue, the issues that make inequality latent. However, in light of the conflict that has arisen, it can be affirmed that we are also facing a question of collective bargaining, where it is not clear which collective subjects are entitled to agree. Based on these premises, the study carried out is carried out, concluding that women‘s football has a long way to go to fully consider professional sports.
